Hell Let Loose Vietnam Beta and Playtest Status Guide

Hell Let Loose Vietnam beta guide confirming that testing has ended, with May and July test dates, platforms, separate clients, and the current retail status.

Direct answerThe pre-release Hell Let Loose: Vietnam Beta and Playtests have ended. The PC Open Beta ran May 29 to June 1, 2026, and the final public cross-platform Playtest ran July 24 to July 27 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S; the retail game then released on August 13, so old sign-up pages and the separate Playtest client are not the current way to play.

Is the Beta still open?

No pre-release Beta is open as of August 15, 2026. The last public cross-platform Playtest ended July 27, and the retail game released August 13. Old pages that still invite players to join that test are showing expired instructions.

Players looking to play now should use the retail listing for their platform. The old Playtest application was a separate client and should not be presented as the current download. A future test would require a new announcement with new dates and access rules.

The May PC Open Beta

The PC Open Beta ran from May 29 through June 1, 2026. It used a separate Playtest application and its progress did not carry into the retail game. Its old June release date was replaced by the final August launch.

The May build was an earlier version of the game. Its bindings, performance, interface text, and balance do not describe every part of the retail version. Use the main retail client for current play.

The July cross-platform Playtest

The official July announcement scheduled the final public cross-platform Playtest for July 24 through July 27. It included PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. PCGamesN independently reported the same window and platforms, and noted the Đắk Tô Airfield map in that test.

The event used test access rather than replacing the full retail game. Its end date passed before the August launch. If an old console or PC page still shows the Playtest, that listing does not establish an active public session.

Beta client versus retail game

The release version has its own store listing and Steam App ID 3079210. A separate Playtest app belongs to pre-release testing and should not be mixed into current player counts, download steps, or ownership instructions. Installing one does not prove access to the other.

The retail build is a separate, later version with post-test changes to performance, stability, balance, and onboarding. The old Playtest client is not the retail download. Install the full game from its main store listing to play now.

Did test progress carry over?

The May Open Beta used a separate client and its progression did not carry into the full game. Retail progression begins in the release application. The old test application and its player counts should not be combined with the retail game.

Why old Beta pages remain visible

Search engines retain articles, cached snippets, videos, and store references after a timed event ends. Many were accurate when published, but their “join now” language expires with the event window. Publication date and event date are therefore essential parts of any Beta result.

Some old guides also show the original June 18 release plan. The final release moved to August 13, so that older launch date is another signal that a page has not been updated. Use historical pages to reconstruct events, not to answer current access questions.

How to play now

Use the full retail application for PC, PS5, or Xbox Series X|S. The old Playtest client and signup pages no longer provide current access. The present status is “Beta ended; retail released.”
